After a seriously hectic week we have arrived at the eve of AMT20… my toes are tingling with excitement about getting on RRS James Cook tomorrow! I have had many lunchtimes in the National Oceanography Centre canteen scheming how to become a stowaway on board- it’s finally paid off.

A week ago at Plymouth Marine Laboratory I was armed with a shiney new video camera. I have spent this week getting my head around all its fancy functions… video editing is taking slightly longer though so watch this space.

In Southampton I was interviewed live on BBC Radio Solent, highlighting the exciting Education and Outreach project we are piloting. Since then I’ve been going into schools and thinking about packing. Maybe I should stop thinking and just get on with it!
