Vessel securely moored starboard side to No.2 Quay, Immingham Docks.
Wind WSW 3, Air Temp 10.9C, Water Temp 14.4C, Baro 1000.8mb
Cloudy, mainly fine.
0800-1700 Loading cargo to completion; lashing gang securing cargo for sea, to
be completed 03/10 prior to departure.
Bunkers (MGO) loaded in two stages from barge, first 01/10, with second barge this morning
Loaded bulk and drummed Lub.Oil during p.m.
Ran propulsion trials 1418-143- to prove stability under load of repaired Governor; appears to be OK.
Ship maintenance continues.
LR Surveyor attended v/l 1600-1900 for Load Testing of Palfinger crane. Load testing completed, but defective limiter in hydraulic system precludes required full function test. Spares to be fitted overnight for final LR testing at 0800. LRS also undertook walk-round inspection to appraise overall condition of V/l (encouraged by IACS / MCA fro a 12-month period in view of the high number of recent detentions of defective ships).
Continued mobilising AMT-18 equipment.
Various Contractors working aboard.
SL, CJHH, SM visit ship.
Blood samples taken for BASMU.
All Pax for JR218 now embarked. Safety brief given to all SPPs and newly-joined ships staff.
Emergency Drills will be conducted 093/10 at 0800, followed by loading of explosive Hazardous cargo at 0900
ETD Immingham 1000 hrs Friday 03/10/08 for Voyage 18.
